O Entrancing Eyes: Blue

Mark Rose, Junior Political Science major from Midwest City, OK.

The brilliant blue hue of those eyes

Is a sight I could forever admire;

A refreshing oasis on the hottest of days,

A perfectly patterned obsidian and sapphire maze

That I love every second of being lost in.

Those seas are waterfalls,

Seeping into gaping wounds and soothing;

Delicate snowflakes of cool and grace;

Hardened glaciers weathering rough waters;

Twin stalactites that slip through armor and masks,

Casting shimmering shrapnel across the soul.

The horizonless sky, full of limitless freeflow,

Of constant crystallization and rolling ripples,

Of pure, blanketing brilliance,

Is a sight I could forever admire.
