“In this work I used a program called Processing in which I coded using the program’s language. I modified the colors, line width, etc. to create an output of a continuous line with sharp edges cutting off at randomized positions. I grabbed images of the program at different times to show the progression of the line and when it begins to “dwindle” away it also shows a gradient within its stroke. I printed these images as well as using a laser etching machine to etch one of the designs I produced onto a large piece of wood. The color scheme chosen shows a calming contrast with the dark colors of the line as it begins and the lighter hues as it begins to dwindle away.”
