“Harold (Playthrough)” by Alexandra Constantinou

Harold (Playthrough) from Alexandra Constantinou on Vimeo.

A note from the creator:

“An exploration of a lake including a trapped turtle, hidden statues and hushed commands.

I originally created Harold, the turtle, as a mashup of statues found in Fort Worth. The original pieces of art seemed to come up out of the earth, so I took that idea and combined it, creating a turtle with art growing from it’s back. Since Harold was first designed, I have made several iterations of him from 3d printing different sizes to placing him in this lake on top of the world.”

“Make April Care” by Sarah Rose

(kinetic sculpture)

A note from the creator:

“This is a kinetic sculpture I made for the New Media class I was in last semester. I decided to make it during a lecture for another class when I looked around and saw everyone staring at their phones. It speaks to our functional dependency on devices and apathy towards the tangible world, loosely personified in a character from NBC’s Parks and Rec. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed making it.”

Sarah Rose is a senior Mechanical Engineering major, Studio Art minor at TCU. She’s from Dallas, Texas.

“FAKE IT” by Alexandra Constantinou

A note from the creator:

“FAKE IT is an official selection of Extremely Shorts Film Festival and The Fort Meyers Film Festival.

FAKE IT is a collaboration project. TCU students and faculty performed, destroyed, burned, exploded, and more, over the course of a week to create slow motion videos. This video is a small compilation of those videos.

Music: Leaves by manchildtrollhair (manchildtrollhair.bandcamp.com/track/leaves)
The song was shortened and slowed down.”
